		SVHS JV BASEBALL CLUB “Being the best you can be” should be the motivating factor for all involved in the Sonoma Valley High School Baseball Program. The Sonoma Valley High School Baseball program is proudly recognized as a “class” program” where participation is a privilege.   .   .not a right!   The 2008-09 JV BASEBALL CLUB will be held accountable to “team standards” commonly found in regarded high school programs; such as SVHS. JV participants will continually be exposed to tried and proven methods used to improve baseball skills. An important beginning step in becoming “the best ballplayer or coach you can be” is consistently coming to the yard with a good healthy attitude. The 2008-09 JV coaches know and understand what is baseball appropriate. In any dugout, on any field and while wearing any uniform, dress suit or street wear participants should display respect and enthusiasm, not only for their own teammates, but for all involved. In this case, the game of baseball parallels life; “being the best you can be” is a continuous choice. Mature as a ballplayer and person. Stay true to yourself and your teammates. Respect all involved in the game; opponents, coaches, umpires and those that have played before you. Remember you’re not competing against anyone but yourself.
